Dayforce WFM Consultant
Help clients make Dayforce WFM work brilliantly. Join Team Wheel as a hands-on consultant solving real workforce challenges across time, scheduling and payroll.
About Team Wheel
Team Wheel is an HR technology consultancy helping organisations select, implement, optimise and support modern HR, payroll and workforce management systems. We work with growing and complex organisations that need practical, knowledgeable support from people who understand both the technology and the reality of HR operations.
We are looking for a mid-level Dayforce WFM Consultant to join our consulting team. This is a hands-on role for someone who already understands Dayforce Workforce Management and can contribute quickly across implementation, optimisation and support work.
The role
As a Dayforce WFM Consultant, you will support clients with the configuration, testing, troubleshooting and optimisation of Dayforce Workforce Management. You will work across areas such as time and attendance, scheduling, clocking, meal breaks, overtime, premiums, approval processes and workforce rules.
This role would suit someone who has worked on Dayforce from either a consulting, implementation, HR systems, payroll, workforce management or customer-side systems role and is ready to take on more client-facing responsibility.
You do not need to be the most senior consultant in the room, but you do need to be confident, practical and able to get into the detail.
Key responsibilities
Configure and support Dayforce Workforce Management functionality, including time and attendance, scheduling and related workforce rules.
Work with clients to understand their operational requirements and translate these into practical Dayforce solutions.
Support discovery sessions, requirements gathering and process reviews.
Help configure pay rules, work rules, schedules, clocking processes, approvals, premiums, overtime and exception handling.
Support testing activity, including test script preparation, defect management, retesting and issue resolution.
Investigate and resolve configuration issues across live and project environments.
Work closely with HR, payroll, operations and implementation teams to ensure WFM processes work end to end.
Produce clear notes, action logs, configuration summaries and client-facing documentation.
Support go-live, hypercare and ongoing optimisation activity.
Escalate risks, issues and gaps clearly and early.
Contribute to Team Wheel’s internal knowledge base, templates and delivery approach.
What we are looking for
Essential:
Hands-on experience with Dayforce Workforce Management.
Good understanding of time and attendance, scheduling, clocking, timesheets, approvals and workforce rules.
Ability to investigate configuration issues and propose practical fixes.
Comfortable working with HR, payroll and operational stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication skills, especially when explaining system issues in plain English.
Able to manage tasks independently and keep clients and colleagues updated.
Confident using Excel or similar tools for analysis, reconciliation and data checks.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Desirable:
Experience working for a Dayforce implementation partner, consultancy or managed services provider.
Experience with hospitality, retail, leisure, care or other shift-based workforces.
Understanding of UK payroll, statutory rules, overtime, premiums, holiday, sickness and absence processes.
Experience supporting Dayforce go-lives, hypercare or post-live optimisation.
Exposure to integrations, data loads, reporting or payroll configuration.
Experience working in a billable consulting environment.
The person
We are looking for someone who is practical, calm and reliable. You will be joining a small but growing consultancy, so we need someone who is comfortable getting involved, solving problems and working directly with clients.
You should be the sort of person who can pick up a configuration issue, understand the business impact, work through the options and explain clearly what needs to happen next.
Salary
Indicative salary: £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience.
For an exceptional candidate with strong Dayforce WFM consulting experience, we may consider a higher salary.
Location
UK-based preferred. Remote or hybrid working, with occasional client or team meetings as required.
Reporting line
This role will report into the consulting leadership team and work closely with senior consultants, project managers and client teams.
Why join Team Wheel?
This is a chance to join a specialist HR technology consultancy at an exciting stage of growth. You will get exposure to real client challenges, varied Dayforce projects and the opportunity to develop quickly in a business where your contribution will be visible.
We are not looking for someone to sit in the background. We are looking for someone who wants to learn, contribute and become a trusted Dayforce WFM specialist.
