Workday Practice Lead
Lead Team Wheel's Workday practice — managing a high-performing team while owning our strategic partnership with Workday. A rare role where delivery excellence meets commercial relationship-building.
The Role
We're looking for a Workday Practice Lead to own and grow our Workday proposition. This is a senior, high-impact role with two equally important remits: leading our Workday delivery team, and being the face of Team Wheel in our relationship with Workday itself.
The right person will be as comfortable building trust with Workday's partner and alliances teams as they are mentoring a consultant, scoping a project, or sitting in a client boardroom.
We believe in paying fairly and being upfront about it. For this role, we're offering a base salary of £90,000–£110,000 depending on experience, with an stretch-target earnings potential of up to £180,000 through a performance bonus tied to practice growth and partnership outcomes. For the right candidate we are open to building a creative package.
What You'll Do
Lead the Practice
Own the end-to-end performance of Team Wheel's Workday practice — revenue, utilisation, quality, and team morale
Manage, mentor and develop a growing team of Workday consultants and functional leads
Define and continuously improve delivery standards, methodologies and toolkits
Act as escalation point and senior advisor on complex or high-stakes client engagements
Work closely with Sales and Account Management to scope, price and win new Workday work
Contribute to the overall Team Wheel leadership team and wider company strategy
Own the Workday Relationship
Serve as Team Wheel's primary relationship owner with Workday — across partner management, alliances, and field teams
Proactively nurture and develop the partnership, increasing our tier, certifications, and access to Workday programmes
Stay close to Workday's product roadmap, go-to-market priorities and partner incentives, translating these into opportunities for Team Wheel
Represent Team Wheel at Workday events, Rising, and partner forums
Identify and pursue co-selling and referral opportunities with Workday account executives
Ensure Team Wheel maintains and grows its Workday-badged credentials and certifications
What We're Looking For
Essential
Excellent relationship-builder — you earn trust with partners, clients and internal teams alike
Significant hands-on experience implementing or consulting on Workday (HCM, Financials, or both)
A track record of managing or leading a team of consultants or functional specialists
Prior experience managing a vendor or partner relationship — ideally with Workday directly, or a comparable enterprise software vendor
Strong commercial acumen: you understand how a practice P&L works and how to grow one
Experience in a consulting firm or boutique HR tech services business
Existing network within Workday's UK partner or alliances organisation
Desirable
Experience growing a practice from an early stage
Workday Pro certification(s) in at least one functional area
Why Join Team Wheel
