About Team Wheel
Team Wheel is a specialist HR technology consultancy helping organisations select, implement, optimise and support HR systems that genuinely work for their people and their business.
We work with leading HR platforms including Workday, Dayforce, HiBob, Talentia, Eightfold, Factorial and Teamtailor. Our role is to bring practical consulting, delivery experience, process thinking and technical understanding together so clients get real value from their HR technology.
We are growing our Workday capability and are looking for a strong Workday Hiring / Recruiting / Talent Consultant who can support clients across talent acquisition, candidate experience, hiring processes and wider talent functionality.
The role
We are looking for a UK-based Workday Consultant with strong experience in Workday Hiring / recruitment / talent.
This role would suit someone who understands the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle inside Workday, from requisition creation and approvals through to candidate management, interview stages, offer processes, onboarding handover and reporting.
You will work across implementation, optimisation, support and advisory engagements. You will need to be comfortable speaking with Talent Acquisition, HR, hiring managers, IT and business stakeholders, translating requirements into practical Workday solutions and helping clients improve how hiring works in real life.
This is not just a configuration role. We are looking for someone who can consult, challenge constructively, document clearly and help clients make better use of Workday.
Key responsibilities
Support clients with Workday Hiring / Recruiting configuration, optimisation and issue resolution.
Review and improve recruitment processes, candidate journeys and hiring manager workflows.
Configure and support job requisitions, candidate stages, interview processes, offer processes, approvals and notifications.
Support hiring-related business processes, security considerations, templates and notifications.
Work with clients to improve recruiter, hiring manager and candidate experience.
Support Workday Talent activity where relevant, including talent profiles, skills, performance, succession or career-related processes.
Build, maintain and troubleshoot recruiting and talent reports.
Support testing, UAT, data validation and go-live readiness.
Produce clear documentation, process notes, configuration summaries and client-facing recommendations.
Work closely with internal Team Wheel consultants and client project teams.
Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve adoption and increase value from Workday.
Support post-go-live optimisation and managed service activity where needed.
What we are looking for
Essential:
Strong hands-on experience with Workday Recruiting / Hiring.
Good understanding of the recruitment lifecycle, including requisitions, candidate stages, interviews, offers and approvals.
Experience configuring or supporting recruitment business processes in Workday.
Good knowledge of Workday reporting, particularly recruitment and hiring reports.
Ability to work confidently with Talent Acquisition, HR, IT and business stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate issues independently.
Comfortable working across both project delivery and support/optimisation work.
Clear written and verbal communication.
Strong documentation skills.
UK based, with the ability to work with UK clients and attend occasional client meetings where required.
Desirable:
Workday certification in Recruiting, Talent or related areas.
Experience with Workday Talent, including talent profiles, performance, succession, skills or career development.
Experience working in a consultancy or systems integrator environment.
Experience with high-volume hiring, hospitality, retail, leisure, healthcare or other complex workforce environments.
Experience with candidate experience, employer brand, recruitment marketing or agency reduction projects.
Experience with integrations between Workday and job boards, assessment providers, background checking tools or onboarding platforms.
Experience with EIBs, data loads, reporting, calculated fields or integration testing.
The person
You will be a good fit if you are:
Practical, calm and solutions-focused.
Confident with clients but not overly corporate.
Able to explain Workday Hiring and Talent concepts in plain English.
Comfortable working in a growing consultancy where people get involved and take ownership.
Interested in improving how recruitment technology works in real life, not just completing tickets.
Detail-oriented, but able to see the bigger picture.
Happy working as part of a small, capable and ambitious team.
Why join Team Wheel?
You will work on varied Workday Hiring, Recruiting and Talent projects with real client impact.
You will have ownership and visibility, rather than being hidden in a large delivery machine.
You will work with experienced HR technology consultants across multiple platforms.
You will help shape a growing Workday practice.
You will be part of a consultancy that values practical advice, honest delivery and long-term client relationships.
